A Message from the Heart
Bookistaan began long before it became a subscription service. It began with my love for stories – the kind that feel like home. I studied literature and publishing, worked with children’s books, and later returned to my small town, Kanpur, where I realised how limited access to thoughtfully curated children’s literature still was.
Books had always been my comfort place, and I wanted to create a space where children could discover stories that truly spoke to them. What started as conversations at book fairs and quiet recommendations slowly grew into Bookistaan – a place built on listening, care, and the belief that every child deserves the right story at the right time.
